Real are set to overhaul their squad at the end of a season which has left the Champions League as their only hope of securing a major trophy.
And a new goalkeeper is on their wanted list with current Bernabeu No 1 Keylor Navas set to head for the exit door.
Manchester United stopper De Gea has once again been heavily linked with a move to Real having almost joined them back in 2015.
Chelsea’s Courtois has likewise been tipped to swap the Premier League for La Liga and return to the city he spent three years on loan in with Atletico Madrid.
The latest reports from Spain suggest Ronaldo believes Real will find it tough to get deals over the line for those two though.
According to Don Balon, Ronaldo has taken notice of Jose Mourinho’s insistence that De Gea won’t be sold, as well as Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Courtois.
And that means he’s devised a ‘Plan B’ that would see Real raid cross-city rivals Atletico for Jan Oblak.
Ronaldo is said to see the Slovenian as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, if not the best.
And he’s keen for Real to have him in their sights, providing a boost to United and Chelsea.
Atletico are unlikely to be willing to sell another of their top players with Antoine Griezmann set to depart though.
And that means Ronaldo may have to devise a different plan as Real seek out Navas’ replacement between the sticks.
