The SNES Classic Mini is a must-have holiday item for many, although stock has not been able to keep up with demand.

The latest Super Nintendo news is that the sought-after console has been back in stock at multiple outlets, before Christmas.

Amazon has had a fresh batch of SNES Mini consoles in stock for £79.99, giving fans hope of nabbing one for the holidays.

Amazon Prime customers receive free next day delivery, or you can opt for express or one day delivery – although you will have to pay extra.

You can even sign up for a free Amazon Prime trial to guarantee next day delivery.

Fortunately, however, even standard deliveries are scheduled to arrive by Christmas Eve.

SNES Classic Mini stock usually gets snapped up within a matter of minutes, so it’s unlikely that any of that original is around now.

However, it does mean that fans will be wanting to keep an eye on the Amazon page in the coming days, in case more units appear.

Other stores to watch include Argos, GAME and Thinkgeek, which also recently had a shipment of SNES’ in.

The SNES Mini comes with 21 classic games, including Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart and Street Fighter 2.

It comes with two retro SNES controllers, which means you can play co-op and competitive multiplayer.

And recent news points to a new Mini console rival coming to challenge the SNES in the future.

Retro-Bit recently announced a new licensing agreement with SEGA to create accessories for SEGA’s SEGA MegaDrive, SEGA Saturn and SEGA Dreamcast.

The first products and concepts under the agreement include several accessories like the original console port.

These will also come with modern upgrades such as a USB port for PC compatibility and Bluetooth wireless technology.

They may not come with pre-loaded games, with the first  products slated to debut during CES 2018.

“With retro gaming on an upswing, we are pleased to offer officially SEGA licensed accessories in their original format as well as apply the innovative classic gaming enhancements that have become the hallmark of Retro-Bit,” said Titi Ngoy, President and CEO at Innex Inc. the exclusive distributor of Retro-Bit.

“We’re excited to unveil the first of these new products and concepts at CES, and do so alongside an exciting 2018 product catalog.”
