UPDATE: Microsoft have now updated their Xbox Live Support page to confirm continuing issues with their online services.
Social and Gaming are listed as being affected, including service attached to: In-game matchmaking, cloud storage, finding friends, Game DVR, leaderboards, avatar editing, or pictures
Affected platforms include: Xbox One Xbox 360 Xbox on Windows 10
Joining other Xbox Live members in online games, such as Call of Duty, Fortnite Battle Royale and FIFA 18 have been singled out on the support page website.
“We believe we have identified the problem that is/are causing some member to experience issues with matchmaking,” a message from Microsoft explains.
“Thanks for your patience as the team works to resolve the issue.”
This could mean that the problems currently affecting players tonight could be solved very soon.
Xbox One server issues started this past hour for many gamers trying to access core services.
Many are seeing Xbox Live error status messages, showing codes like 0x87e107f9.
“Getting error code 0x87e107f9,” one fan posted online.
“Xbox help center doesn’t recognize the error code. Also receiving an error station Communication with the Xbox Live servers has been interrupted.”
It should be noted that while a server outage is ongoing, games likes Fortnite Battle Royale will be unavailable to play.
There has been no word from Microsoft’s Xbox Live status page on what might be causing tonight’s issue, or how long it might last.
