The economic crisis in Venezuela – a country hailed by Jeremy Corbyn as a left-wing paradise – poses a major threat to the entire region, a top Colombian official has warned.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Colombia’s finance minister Mauricio Cardenas Santamaria said: ‘We are heading towards a disaster that can explode any time.’

The crisis is an embarrassment for Corbyn, who has been described as ‘a great friend of Venezuela’ by the country’s president Nicolas Maduro.
