The Reds today announced that goalkeeper Kamil Grabara had agreed terms a new long-term contract.
The Pole, who joined the Reds from Ruch Chorzow in 2016, has featured for the club’s U18s, U19s and U23s sides since his arrival.
Liverpool published the news on Twitter and wrote: “Kamil Grabara signs a new deal!”
Mignolet has a big Merseyside derby on his mind as Liverpool prepare to meet Everton at Anfield tomorrow.
But that did not stop the Belgian tweeting Grabara in an open message which read: “Congrats Kam!! Well deserved.. @Kamil_Grabara1.”
Mignolet and Grabara have joined up together in first team training at Melwood this season.
The youngster was handed a maiden senior outing in a pre-season friendly with Tranmere Rovers in July.
Speaking after signing his new deal, Grabara said: “I was fighting for that the whole time I’ve been in Liverpool so that was a good step.
“Playing for the first team for the first time, it was only 30 minutes but it doesn’t matter how long, I was there and now I just want more.
“Obviously, I’m proud, I’m really happy.
“I just give everything I’ve got every single day in the sessions and push myself as hard as I can.”
