However, the striker has also rocked Real Madrid after revealing he is not interested in joining them.
In an interview with Ouest-France, Aubameyang said: “Everyone knows that (Atletico) are looking for players around the world.
“I think Griezmann could leave and a lot can happen. Anything can happen.”
Atletico do not want to sell Griezmann without lining up cover.
They will sign Diego Costa in January but want more firepower if Griezmann leaves.
Both Barcelona and Manchester United have been linked with France international Griezmann.
A summer deal is most likely once Griezmann has played at the World Cup.
And Aubameyang’s admission that he could head to Atletico will no doubt boost Barca and United’s confidence in doing a deal for Griezmann.
Borussia Dortmund star Aubameyang has been tracked by a number of European giants for years, with Real often touted as his favoured choice.
He came close to leaving for PSG last summer but the Ligue 1 club were reluctant to pay £60million for his services.
Asked about a possible contract renewal, Aubameyang told Ouest-France: “I haven’t signed one, it’s not true.”
And he then opened up about Real’s interest.
“The market is open, also for me. Real Madrid? That’s no longer my wish, I don’t think about it much anymore,” he admitted.
Griezmann, meanwhile, is valued at around £90m – a fee that is well within United and Barca’s transfer budgets.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have emerged as favourites to sign Virgil van Dijk.
Mudro Deportivo claim Barcelona are interested in to centre-back.
Van Dijk is supposedly being eyed at Barca as a log-term replacement for Javier Mascherano.
But the Telegraph report that City, along with Liverpool, are also vying for the Southampton star.
Real Madrid president fumes
Florentino Perez is fuming with three Real Madrid stars who went on a night out after their 3-0 defeat to Barcelona on Saturday.
Dario Gol claim Perez reacted angrily to the claims Marco Asensio, Isco and Dani Ceballos went for dinner with their families after the game.
Real’s defeat effectively ended their La Liga title aspirations.
And Perez was not happy with the actions of the trio.
