Brentford thrashed Aston Villa by three goals to nil in this fixture last term and they will be hoping for a repeat tonight.

Dean Smith’s men have struggled to string wins together of late but could make it back-to-back victory having beaten Norwich last Friday.

The Bees cannot climb the table if they claim all three points but could close the gap to west London rivals Fulham, who are four points clear in 11th.

Villa have not won any of their four games this month and they’ve slipped to eighth in the table.

A two-goal win tonight would see them climb back into the play-off spots.
