Ipswich blow

17:15: Ipswich Town midfielder Emyr Huws has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

He tore his cartilage against Middlesbrough last weekend and has undergone surgery.

Mick McCarthy said: “It’s obviously very disappointing for us but even more so for Emyr.

“We know the quality he brings to the team and he will be missed.”

McBurnie claim

16:45: Swansea striker Oli McBurnie appears to have confirmed a move to Aston Villa in an alleged Instagram post.

Instagram user matty.w04 posted a message on one of McBurnie’s pictures which read: “Join Villa.”

To which he allegedly replied: “I am.”

McBurnie has been frequently linked with a loan move to Villa after failing to win regular minutes at Swansea.

Bouy return?

16:15: Spanish club Cultural Leonesa are set to terminate Leeds midfielder Ouasim Bouy’s loan spell.

He is due to spend the season with Cultural Leonesa but has made just four appearances in all competitions.

Bouy, 24, joined Leeds from Juventus on a free transfer in the last transfer window.

Marshall wanted

15:45: A host of Championship clubs are interested in Wolves winger Ben Marshall.

Cardiff City, Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday are all interested in the 26-year-old.

Marshall has made just one league start this season.

He has been left out of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad for the last five games.

Done deal

15:15: Preston North End have agreed a deal to sign Motherwell striker Louis Moult.

Preston will pay a £450,000 fee for Moult, who will put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

He will make the move to Deepdale on January 1.
