Liverpool’s recent resurgence continued with the 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow at Anfield this evening.
Philippe Coutinho helped himself to a hat-trick, with Sadio Mane netting a double as well as Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah getting in on the act too.
The result ensured the Reds qualified for the last 16 as Group E winners with 12 points from their six matches.
Klopp in the past has often come up against Real Madrid during his days as Borussia Dortmund boss.
Liverpool will be seeded for Monday’s draw in Nyon, Switzerland, and they are likely to avoid being paired with one of Europe’s heavyweights.
When asked who his preference would be insofar as the draw goes, Klopp said: “I don’t mind too much who we get – usually I always get Real Madrid so we will see.
“We have no preferred opponents, it will be really nice after a long time. I love this kind of news.”
Liverpool now turn their attentions back to the Premier League and they host Merseyside rivals Everton on Sunday (2:15pm).
Klopp’s men are fourth in the table, while the Toffees are 10th.
