That is the verdict of Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp.
Mane was left on the bench for the match at Anfield, with Philippe Coutinho moving further up the pitch into the front three.
Coutinho has been occupying a deeper role of late but with captain Jordan Henderson missing through injury, Klopp chose a midfield three of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Georginio Wijnaldum and Emre Can.
Redknapp says the trio of Coutinho, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino is so talented that they can afford to leave out Mane.
“I think it’s more because of Jordan Henderson’s injury,” Redknapp said.
“They probably feel they need somebody to thicken that three up if you like.
“Can, Wijnaldum and Oxlade-Chamberlain all want to go forward, so with Can playing there maybe they feel they want three in there to play a bit tight.
“Coutinho, Firmino and Salah; they’re the three that if you’re the manager at Swansea, they’re the three that worry you.
“So much talent going forward, so much talent that they’re leaving Mane on the bench.”
Coutinho gave Liverpool the lead with a stunning effort after just six minutes on Merseyside before Firmino doubled the advantage just after half time.
Firmino scored again before Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put the hosts five goals to the good.
